1st October 2008, London: College Hill, the international business communications consultancy, is proud to announce that Lorna Cuddon, Associate Partner, has been voted this year as one of Britain's brightest stars in the UK PR industry.
Once a year, PR Week searches for the top 29 young PR professionals under the age of 29. Each individual is judged on factors such as creativity, ambition and, above all, talent. With over 100 entries vying for only 29 positions, individuals must also have had a significant impact on the industry.
Lorna's achievement has been the result of her significant contribution to College Hill's Life Sciences team. Since joining in 2005, Lorna has helped win over 20 new clients and has built up a portfolio of more than £500,000 gross profit a year. In addition to winning new business, she has helped grow existing accounts, such as GE Healthcare, which has now increased eight times in size.
Recently, Lorna's achievements were recognised with a promotion from Account Director, to Associate Partner. Lorna originally joined College Hill as an Account Manager in 2005 before being promoted to Account Director the following year. Since then she has continued to develop an impressive portfolio and operate as a senior member of the life sciences team. Prior to College Hill, she was Marketing Manager at NextGen Sciences Plc where she was responsible for leading its marketing and public relations in the UK and international markets. Currently at College Hill, she manages a team of five and her clients include Cogenics, GE Healthcare, Illumina, Improvision, NextGen Sciences, Novozymes, Promega, Pronota, Protagen and Upfront Chromatography.
Sue Charles, Managing Partner, Life Sciences, College Hill commented: "In my 20 years in the PR industry, Lorna is one of a handful of stars I have had the pleasure to work with. She is by far the youngest to have achieved so much."
