College Hill Announces Promotions in its London-based Life Sciences Team

1 October 2011, London, Manchester, Munich, Sydney, Boston: The Life Sciences team of international business communications consultancy, College Hill, is pleased to announce two promotions in its London-based team: Tim Watson and Daniel Gooch move up from Senior Account Manager to Junior Account Director.

Tim joined College Hill in July 2010. He has taken a leading role on a number of client accounts notably GE Healthcare, Imperial innovations and PolyTherics. He came to College Hill with 10 years’ experience in the science communications field, working in-house on media and public relations campaigns, marketing, and stakeholder interactions. Past roles include Communications Manager at the NC3Rs, a UK Government funded scientific organisation that minimises the use of animals in research, and Press & PR Officer at both the Royal Society and the British Science Association. He is adept at working across multiple mediums to reach a diverse range of target audiences, and is on the College Hill taskforce to establish best practice in social media communications. Tim has a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Science Communication from Queen’s University Belfast.

Daniel joined College Hill in November 2010. Since joining he has been involved in a number of high profile client accounts, including the PR campaign to support the merger of Astex Therapeutics with Supergen Inc. to create Astex Pharmaceuticals Inc., and a number of Australian client accounts including Elastagen, Benitec and Mesoblast, as well as European clients including Xellia and Molecular Partners.  Daniel has twenty years’ experience in the life sciences sector. Prior to joining College Hill, he was a civil servant in the English Department of Health where he worked on Government policy covering life sciences, genetics, gene therapy, and respiratory diseases. Daniel has also worked in the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills as head of medical biotechnology policy. He has an MSc in Biotechnology and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry, at what are now GSK, Roche and UCB.
