22 November 2011, London, Manchester, Munich, Sydney, Boston, Atlanta: The Life Sciences team of international business communications consultancy, College Hill, has extended and strengthened its presence in the U.S. with the appointment of Senior Consultant, Ian Slade.
Ian’s role will be to focus on business development. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in sales and sales management in STM publishing and conferences, both in the US and in Europe. His key past achievements include leading the U.S. display advertising team for Nature from their office in New York; and establishing the US office for Select Biosciences, a Life Sciences online portal and conference organizer. During his career, Ian has developed expertise in helping U.S. companies in the fields of analytical chemistry, life science research, and clinical diagnostics globalize their marketing activities. Prior to his move to the US in 1988, Ian headed the display advertising for International Scientific Communications.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Ian broadens the team's service offering in the U.S. and compliments Boston-based Senior Consultant, Rebecca Skye Dietrich, who was appointed in 2010 to support corporate and financial programs in the U.S.
Commenting on the new addition to the team, Sue Charles, Managing Partner, Life Sciences said: “The U.S. is a key market for the life science sector and, with many companies headquartered there, it makes perfect sense to have a locally-based business development effort in the U.S.” continuing “I have known and worked with Ian for over two decades and I am confident that his contacts and knowledge will help us to further develop our U.S.-based client base”.
College Hill Life Sciences supports clients on a global basis, representing many U.S. based clients including, for example Astex Pharmaceuticals and Affymetrix.
