Dr Robert Mayer Takes the Helm in Germany as General Manager of the Life Science Munich Office


18 January 2012, London, Manchester, Munich, Sydney, Boston: The Life Sciences team of international business communications consultancy, College Hill has announced that Dr Robert Mayer steps up to the role of General Manager of the Munich office, leading the team in Germany. This is effective from 1st of January 2012.

Robert has been with the Company for more than five years, during this time becoming a key member of the College Hill Life Sciences team based in the Munich office. During 2011, as Account Director, he has taken on a leadership role across the full portfolio of clients managed by the Munich team and has also taken on a more active role in business development. His portfolio of clients now includes: Noxxon, Nabriva, Scil Proteins, 4-Antibody, ProtAffin, Telormedix and Pantec Biosolutions. In addition to his role in leading client accounts, Robert also supports the whole team in any German language outreach. He has a first class academic background in science with journalistic experience. Prior to joining College Hill he completed a PhD in Human Genetics at the LMU in Munich.

Commenting on the promotion, Sue Charles, Managing Partner, Life Sciences said: “In his more than five years with College Hill, Robert has significantly added to his skills and experience, and I am confident that he will help the team in Munich and Life Sciences more widely to continue our success in 2012.”

In the role of General Manager for the Munich office, Robert replaces Dr Douglas Pretsell who moves to Melbourne in February to help grow College Hill’s Australian client base. Robert will be responsible for managing the Munich clients and for growing the business in the German speaking markets. He reports to Dr Lynne Trowbridge, London-based partner in life sciences.
