Chris Fisher has been with the Company for 15 years, having transferred to College Hill from Northbank Communications when it was acquired in 2007. He joined from university as a graphic designer and has developed through studio head and creative director, to brand strategist heading the creative team within College Hill Life Sciences. He is based in the company’s Manchester office.

During his career Chris has advised over 100 life sciences companies in various aspects of their design and branding and today leads a number of client accounts including ELGA, the laboratory water specialists within Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies and the partnering division of AstraZeneca. He is an experienced brand strategist supporting clients’ awareness and reputation building campaigns, and directing effective execution of brand identities across print and digital.

Melanie joined College Hill Life Sciences in 2009 as Head of Financial Communications for the Life Sciences team to expand the consultancy’s based of listed clients. Prior to joining College Hill, she built and established the life sciences practice at the Hogarth Partnership and was a Partner in the Financial Dynamics Life Sciences team and a Director at Merlin Financial PR. Before her move into financial PR, Melanie worked at Price Waterhouse and is a qualified chartered accountant, and has a BA (Hons) in Biochemistry from Oxford University. She splits her time between the Company’s Manchester and London offices.

Over the past three years, Melanie has built an impressive portfolio of quoted and unquoted life science companies and, most recently, led the team managing the financial communications for the listing on AIM of Clinigen plc – the first healthcare company to IPO in London for five years. As an experienced financial PR practitioner, Melanie provides strategic counsel to clients on their communications with financial audiences, as well as on corporate positioning.

Melanie and Chris are both members of the Life Sciences Senior Executive, which also includes Managing Partner Sue Charles and Partner Dr Lynne Trowbridge. They both joined the Life Sciences Board in 2010, and are also members of the College Group Partners’ Forum.

College Hill Life Sciences provides a full service offering across corporate, marketing, financial and healthcare communications. It has an integrated specialist life sciences design team and provides international reach through life science offices in London, Manchester, Munich, Melbourne, Sydney and Boston.

Commenting on the promotions, Sue Charles Managing Partner, Life Sciences said: “Both promotions are well deserved and reflect not only their contribution to the Life Science practice, but also across the College group as a whole.  They both take on leadership responsibilities within the team and, given their longstanding experience provide expert counsel to our clients. They both also play a key role in attracting and developing new client relationships.”
