London, UK – 21 May 2013 – Connect Digital Health, organisers of the forthcoming Digital Health Forum 2013 (DHF13) to be held in London on 11 June, has launched its ‘Hot 5’ competition. The competition is open to emerging digital health companies, with the five winners gaining free access to the conference to pitch their business ideas to leading digital health investors.
Shortlisted companies will receive an invitation to attend the conference at a 50% discount and the eventual winners will gain free entry with the 50% fee being reimbursed upon the announcement of the Hot 5 winners. Winners also get the opportunity to present at the conference, feedback from the Hot 5 judging panel and an additional £1000 cash prize for the company with the best presentation.
“The Hot 5 will be selected to represent the most promising companies in the digital health arena: both showcasing exciting technology and mature enough to attract investors in the next 12-18 months,” commented David Seemungal, Director at Cubase Consulting. Applicants for the Hot 5 competition need to provide their elevator pitch, a brief market analysis and details of their founders to be eligible. A panel of judges composed of digital health VCs and corporate dealmakers will select the presenting companies. Companies can enter at http://www.dhf13.com/#!hot5-registration/c5kk.
To be held at the Royal Society of Medicine, London, UK, DHF13 will host key executives from across the digital health ecosystem, showcase the best ‘deal-ready’ digital health companies from around the world and facilitate meetings with potential investors and corporate partners from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, big data, IT, software and hardware industries.
