Instinctif Partners Continues its Sponsorship of the European Mediscience Awards Event for the 7th year

4 March 2015, London, UK: Instinctif Partners (formerly College Hill) is pleased to confirm that it is the sponsor for the "Mediscience Commentator of the Year" at the European Mediscience awards for the 7th year running. The event, to be held in London on 11 June 2015 celebrates significant achievements in the healthcare and life sciences industry for both quoted and private companies.  Nominations for the Awards are now open.

The European Mediscience Awards are an annual event designed to recognise the importance of the capital markets to fund growth and innovation. With nine different awards recognising a range of achievements including financial transactions, product innovations, individual efforts and company breakthroughs, the European Mediscience Awards honour progress in every aspect of the industry.  As the 14th annual awards dinner, it has become the premier event for all stakeholders working in or with mediscience companies, and with over 500 attendees it is the largest annual gathering of private and publicly quoted healthcare, biotech and life science companies in Europe.

The award for "Mediscience commentator of the year" recognises the importance of clear and concise commentary on the sector. The award is open to analysts, journalists, columnists, research houses, specialist websites or whole teams dedicated to providing sharp, perceptive and penetrating commentary about the sector. In-depth knowledge of the sector and excellence in the way that knowledge is communicated to the wider audience will be key aspects looked for by the voters. Last year’s winner was John Carroll of Fierce Biotech, praising his clear and concise commentary on the Life Sciences Sector. Previous winners include the teams at BioCentury, EP Vantage and Andrew Clark from The Times.

Sue Charles, Managing Partner, Life Sciences at Instinctif Partners commented, “Europe has seen a welcome growth in the life sciences sector in recent years. The Mediscience Awards has become a great platform to celebrate this new talent and technology, as well as commend the successes and hard work of existing businesses. The event also provides an invaluable networking opportunity for those within the sector, with so many new and existing big names under one roof.”

The Awards dinner will be held on Thursday 11 June 2015 at the Pavilion, Tower of London, EC3.
