London, UK – 25 January 2018 – The life sciences team of international business communications consultancy Instinctif Partners welcomes the launch of the UK BioIndustry Association’s (BIA) report on the progression of the UK’s bioscience industry during 2017.
This report also contains members’ views on likely trends and topics likely to effect the industry in 2018. As part of this, Instinctif Partners was commissioned to provide an insight into how MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) - a major new piece of financial regulation which came into effect on 3 January 2018 – could impact the sector.
Key to Instinctif Partners’ findings were the likely fall in trading commissions and how, for small companies, this may spell the end of independent research which to date has been a core investor relations tool for them.
