Instinctif Partners congratulates Sam Fazeli on winning “Media Commentator of the Year” at the European Mediscience Awards 2019

14 June 2019, London: Instinctif Partners, the business communications consultancy, is delighted to congratulate Sam Fazeli, Head of EMEA Research at Bloomberg Intelligence, for winning the “Media Commentator of the Year” award at the European Mediscience Awards last night, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Life Science sector.

Sam has been at Bloomberg since 2010, where his main focus is on European biopharmaceutical stocks in the healthcare sector. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he served as a Managing Director, Head of European Research and Senior Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray & Co. He has a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of London.

The “Media Commentator of the Year” award is given to the journalist, columnist, specialist website or team that has shown dedication to providing sharp, perceptive and penetrating commentary, over the period from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019. There is a particular emphasis on how an in-depth sector knowledge is communicated to the wider audience.  Previous winners include John Carroll when he was at FierceBiotech, Karen Bernstein from BioCentury and 2018’s winner, Jacob Plieth from Vantage.

The ‘Mediscience Commentator of the Year’ award category was sponsored by Instinctif Partners for the 11th year. The other finalists this year were Sam Fazeli (Bloomberg), Siegfried Hofmann & Maike Telgheder (Handelsblatt), Sabah Meddings (The Sunday Times), Nuala Moran (BioWorld), the team at Labiotech and Lisa Urquhart at Vantage.
