Touchstone Innovations, a leader in technology and life sciences IP commercialisation, recognised the need to educate the market about this new asset class and fill the gap in key opinion leader’s knowledge.
We implemented an educational programme, engaging key commentators through a range of briefings, presentations and teach-ins as well as visits to the incubator at Imperial College London. We positioned the management team as thought-leaders at key industry events.
We actively promoted the two strategic ventures launched in 2016 and created an award-winning annual report. Recently, we developed a new brand and a new name.
We positioned the business as the champion of UK science and technology and the recognised force in the commercialisation of cutting-edge research emerging from universities. In doing so, we encouraged a favorable market environment in which the business undertook important fundraisings; £150m in 2014 and a further £100m in 2016. The latter was done at a premium; a major achievement in uncertain environments. The business is now firmly established as one of the leaders in this new asset class.
